Inger Marie Hognestad tries to cultivate her hobby, writing, in between managing her professional life, two boys and a husband, and running a home. Tis' aint no easy task.
Hello, my Norwegian friend! How is everything going? Inger Marie Hognestad replies: "Hey there, Steve. I don't have so much Elfwood time any more actually, and my own writing is suffering too. Life is keeping me busy, but that's not a bad thing Hope to have a new story up by the end of June though, but I don't think I'll ever match your impressive corner of the woods Nice of you to drop by "
Dear Inger, I feel like the Library newbie ass that I am. I've printed out several hardcopys to read and critique in my spare time, and was totally convinced that Forbidden Hearts was yours, when in fact it is Ben Cameron's. To top it off I haven't even gotten to your work yet. While the road to Hell is paved with intentions, I intend to get to you soon. In fact this incident moves you pretty much to the top of the list. Please hide my flushed newbie shaming by deleting my posts on your lovely page, as they do nothing but detract. *sweeping bow* Apologetically, Scott "Frank Creed" Morris Inger Marie Hognestad replies: "Consider it done I admit I was toroughly confuddled when I read your first comment. Don't be embarassed... I've scattered my share of embarassing posts 'round the woods You are of course, welcome to read and comment to anything you want. If you want feedback to your writings on a regular basis, and are willing to give them as well, check out Wyvernsmiths below. We have a lively critiqueing going on at the moment, and new members are always welcome I am sorry to say I don't get 'round in the woods nearly as much as I used to, but that's life for you, sometimes you have to shift priorities. Thanks for dropping by "
Inger, Hi. It's just the Library newbie ass spamming you, but this time with the critique of a piece that I'm really really really pretty sure was written by you. As I mentioned before, I print out hard-copies to read when I'm able, which usually means on breaks and lunch at work. It can get kind of noisy in the auto-plant's outdoor Plexiglass smoke-shack, and I often find myself tuning in on conversation rather than concentrating on my reading. You'll be happy to hear that this was not the case with HOARFROST AND THROE. Very nice piece. Anyhow, my own birthday is '66, so I completely understand the whole not-getting-around-as-much-as-I-used-to and Shifting-priorities concepts. While I did seriously consider your suggestion of Wyvernsmiths, my priorities of fatherhood, husbandism, sheparding six cats, holding a forty hour/ week job, constructing project proposals to send to publishers, and finally writing, leaves me unable to commit the time required of a Wyvernsmith. If only I could get published and lose the job. Merry Christmas, and happy New Year, Frank Creed Inger Marie Hognestad replies: "Thanks for dropping by again and leaving so cheerful and encouraging comments I find that a little black humor relieves the tension from all the things we want to, but *don't* get around to do! Good luck with the publishing plans "
You've probably already guessed that I didn't make the deadline for NaNoWriMo. I only got about 2000 words down before everything collapased and all writing just halted.
No worries though. Now I have yet another story fragment to add to my collection. *grin* Maybe I'll even illustrate it someday. Tee hee.
Have yourself a wonderful Holiday, Inger. All my best to you and your family! Inger Marie Hognestad replies: " Thanks Barb I think that makes us about even in the NaNoWriMo department I should probably wait till the kids grow up before I try again!! (Or at least 10-12 yrs...) Have a great holiday you too. Best of wishes for a Merry Christmas!"
Happy Holidays Inger. Rumors of my demise (...there have been rumors, right? My PR people aren't being paid for nothing...) are greatly exagerated, I assure you.
Anyways...oh my...I hadn't realized it had been so long since I wandered by. I do so apologize, my heads been...well, in a bad way for too long now. But, all nice and clear now, so, much reading I'll be doing soon. Inger Marie Hognestad replies: "Happy holidays you too, Brian I hope life and your muse is treating you well. I don't get around in the woods as much as I used to, but I do read bits, occasionally I'll leave my comments as usual when I get back to Elryn "
I finally decided I should come and read some of your work, so here I am *scans the page with great interest*. Where should I start? Anything in need of comments? Anything you want input on?
I also must tell you that I recently joined Bifrost. I am very excited and I'm working very hard trying to get my first project in on time. (Eeek! An actual deadline!!)
Hello Inger. Inger Marie Hognestad replies: "Well hi there, Che Long time no see! Is life treating you all right? Oh... you remember the story "Illuminted. Touché." that I dedicated to you? It is in the process of getting a new online life in a virtual world Text based internet games are also a nice place to write!"
